From April 1, 2025, the Electronic Logistics Operator (ELO) system will become mandatory for all UK-FR border crossings. On 12 February 2025, the European Commission announced new measures to strengthen customs enforcement on low-value e-commerce imports, targeting non-EU online retailers and marketplaces. The initiative aims to enhance consumer safety, reduce fraud, and ensure fair taxation in the rapidly expanding cross-border e-commerce sector.
